The Alex Cross series made me an avid fan of the author and I was looking for something to fill in the gap when additions to the Cross series were being developed. I followed the Women's Murder Club with Lindsay Boxer for a while and also found NY Detective Michael Bennett. My new journey with "Private" was exciting and well worth my time.
