The Chesapeake Bay Trilogy-The Quinn Brothers (Nora Roberts)

The Chesapeake Bay trilogy introduces the Quinn brothers, all former juvenile delinquents adopted by Raymond Quinn and his wife, Stella. Cameron, Ethan, and Phillip are as different as they can be, but they are bound by their love and respect for their adoptive father, who recently passed away. On his deathbed he asks his sons to look after 10 year old Seth, who rumors say is Ray's biological son. Ray had began adoption proceedings for Seth. The brothers return to the family home on the shores of Chesapeake Bay to honor their father's last wish.

SEASWEPT

Cameron Quinn led his adult life in the fast lane, romancing beautiful women and driving fast cars. He certainly didn't know anything about raising a 10 year old boy, but he intended to honor his father's last request. If Social worker Anna Spinelli has anything to say about it, the boy will be adopted elsewhere. Sparks fly between Anna and Cameron over the fate of Seth, but nothing compared to the romantic sparks that fly between them.
RISING TIDES

Quiet fisherman Ethan Quinn and his courtship is the focus of the second installment featuring the Quinn Brothers. He holds the brothers together with a new boatbuilding enterprise. Ethan finds himself drawn to young Seth since they both suffered horrific abuse before being adopted. Time hasn't extinguished Ethan's pain, only buried it deep within his heart. The pain and sobering memories may keep him away from the woman he loves. It's time he learned acceptance and love.

INNER HARBOR

In the conclusion of the trilogy, Phillip Quinn's brothers are happily married while Phillip juggles his high-powered advertising job and his new found family duty, caring for his newly adopted brother, Seth. The boat business is beginning to thrive and the brothers are close to keeping Seth permanently protected from his errant mother. When educated, cultured Dr. Sybil Griffin shows up, he makes room in his hectic schedule for the mysterious woman who stirs his senses and threatens to steal his heart. Her secret ties to Seth may destroy any chance of happiness. Heartwarming and tender, it's an outstanding close to a stunning trilogy.

Nora Roberts hadn't originally planned to write Seth Quinn's story but changed her mind because readers clamored for it. I read it; I loved it and I hope you enjoy Seth's story too.

CHESAPEAKE BLUE

Successful artist Seth Quinn has returned home to St. Christopher, Maryland after years in Europe. His extended family knows there's more to the story of why he left - and why he returned - than he's letting on. Unfortunately, His horrendous early life changed when Ray Quinn rescued him from his abusive mother Gloria DeLauter. Seth failed to tell his family that horrible Gloria has been blackmailing him for years and years.

Drusilla Whitcomb Banks escaped the life style of her wealthy political family by opening a flower shop in St. Christopher. She mistakes Seth Quinn for a womanizer and although she's attracted to him, she tries to resist his charm. Dru's defenses slowly erode when Seth takes a room upstairs over the flower shop and uses any means available to make her his.

Ray and Stella Quinn's love and guidance, offered so freely to the once-wayward Cam, Ethan, and Phillip, and the love they in turn extended to Seth after Ray's death is extremely powerful. For each of these men, so damaged as boys, nurturing brought the freedom to love, achieve, and create. You'll enjoy the trilogy and Seth's story provides a fitting ending for the Quinn Brothers.
